The Scientific committee of the American Academy of Spine Physicians is developing educational content for the online Public Information Center (PIC). The information is being organized in a format suitable for publication in a book format. The AASP projects that it will publish its first book about the spine and spinecare for patients and the public during   2005. The book will increase exposure to spinecare and extend the influence of AASP and will inform the public on their choices in spinecare. Physicians can directly provide the book to their patients, direct them to a local bookstore or have them order it online. Similar information can be accessed through the AASP online Public Information Center (PIC).
