MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL PROCESS REFINED
The American Academy of Spine Physicians has developed three methods of informing a member of their renewal status. Three automated methods of membership renewal notification have been developed. The methods consist of notification by regular mail, notification by email and notification by fax. In many circumstances these three automated methods will be implemented at the same time. The member may also receive a courtesy call for the office of member services.
The AASP encourages each applicant and AASP member to choose the auto renewal option on the initial application and on renewal forms. If this option is chosen the renewal process is automated at the end of each membership term which will prevent a loss of exposure on the highly visible National Directory of Spine Physicians and will ensure uninterrupted access to member resources.
Some of the member resources are reserved for use only by active members. Use of AASP educational resources by a former member with an inactive status could lead to misrepresentation of a physician’s status to the public which may lead to licensing reprimand by their state’s governing body or licensing agency.
