For the Public....
The effectiveness of spinecare is dependent upon timely intervention, continuity of care, interdisciplinary communication and realistic expectations.
The needs and well-being of the patient should always be placed first. The physician should educate their patients and strive to prevent the development of spinal disorders.
For the Physician....
Chiropractic physicians and neurosurgeons both have extensive training in neurology, spinal anatomy, spinal biomechanics, and in diseases of the spine, thus, serving as the basis for cooperative care. Together they can supervise the care for the full spectrum of spine disorders.
For the Student/Resident....
The AASP is committed to providing chiropractic students and neurosurgical residents with an opportunity to become a member of the AASP prior to starting practice. The AASP offers resources providing the candidate member with a head start in practice.
For the Media....
Chiropractic physicians are experts at conservative and non-operative management of spine conditions whereas neurosurgeons are experts at surgical intervention.
Both are committed to informing the public about available spinecare services and steps that can be taken to improve spine health.
For the Educational Sponsors....
