The International Directory of Spine Organizations was developed by the ISA to help guide professionals and the public to additional scientific and educational resources. The international health community has many diverse challenges. One of the fastest growing concerns in the international health community is the provision of adequate care and treatment of individuals with back pain and spine disorders. The rising incidence of spinal conditions has no geographic boundaries, afflicting all nations. Consequently, many different spine societies and spine organizations have emerged. Some are developed to address specific conditions, while others provide more generalized assistance to healthcare professionals and the public.

In an attempt to best serve the public worldwide, the International Spine Association (ISA) is committed to bridging the gap between spine organizations to develop a more networked or unified educational effort. The following list represents various spine societies and organizations which have websites and accessible education information about the spine and spinecare. Spine societies and spine organizations are encouraged to become "organizational members" of the ISA. Profiled organizations and societies have acknowledged their commitment to working with the ISA and one another to improve spinecare. This commitment includes making educational resources available to patients, healthcare professionals and the public through reciprocal website links as well as other efforts.
