A course on the malpractice situation in healthcare was organized by Stephen Ondra, M.D., a member of the AASP Academy Council. Various speakers presented their analyses of what many have called “the malpractice crisis” in the United States. Attendees were told about effective lobbying techniques on the local, state and federal levels. As some lawyers are now going after doctors’ personal assets, there was a session on asset protection.
