Numerous AASP members are taking advantage of the new Eblast function on their AASP website. The Eblast function allows the member to send out a newsletter or other timely information to patients and others listed on their email subscription list. An Eblast can be performed with the simple press of a button at no additional cost to the doctor. The AASP encourages each of its members to begin formulating an “opt in” list in anticipation of further development of their already available resources.

This is an invaluable method for growing a practice and keeping patients informed. To receive a periodic Eblast an individual or patient should be asked to subscribe or “opt in” to the service. This can be done in the member’s office by simply adding this option onto the new patient intake paperwork.
