UPDATED RESOURCE AVAILABLE FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION AND CREDENTIALING THOUGH THE ACADEMY

The American Academy of Spine Physicians (AASP) is pleased to announce the availability of the award-winning neurology textbook titled Myelopathy, Radiculopathy, and Peripheral Entrapment Syndromes (MRE). This book previously published by CRC Press is now in its second printing with Scholars Consortium, LLC an Academic Publishing Company.

The textbook represents one of many leading academic resources for post-doctoral coursework leading to credentialing (Diplomate and Fellow) with the American Academy of Spine Physicians.  The resource offers practical information about the etiologic, clinical, and diagnostic presentations associated with disorders of the spinal cord, spinal nerve roots, and peripheral nerves. The work contains over 400 detailed illustrations, images, and tables used to simplify fundamental and advanced concepts for practical applications. The topic coverage extends beyond the boundaries of the traditional neurology textbook and addresses the musculoskeletal and orthopedic complications associated with spinal and peripheral neurological compromise.

The scope and organization of Myelopathy, Radiculopathy, and Peripheral Entrapment Syndromes makes it a valuable resource for spinecare providers at all stages of training and clinical practice. The comprehensive perspectives provide the fundamental knowledge and skills required to bridge-the-gap between the spinecare disciplines and to achieve excellence in patient care.  One of the principle co-authors of the work is Dr. David Durrant, board certified chiropractic neurologist and member of the Academy Council of the American Academy of Spine Physicians. Dr. Durrant currently practices at the Chicago Neuroscience Institute (CNI) and is an expert on the evaluation of spinal cord pathology. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in health services with an emphasis on the applications of molecular imaging in neurology and spinecare.  This approach includes the applications of MRI/MRS and hybrid imaging such as PET/CT and PET/MRI.
