WORLD CONGRESS OF NEUROSURGERY
Seoul, Korea was the site of the World Congress of Neurosurgery, a meeting held every four years in various parts of the world. Members of the AASP were present and a spinal section of the meeting was devoted to an area of the spine that is discussed infrequently: the cranial -C1/C2 junction and its problems. This high risk region is unique in structure and function in the spine. The session emphasized treatment of degeneration/fractures of the cranial - C1/C2 area and relevant anatomical determinants were discussed. The World Congress of Neurosurgery was held 8-13 September 2013.
