The American Academy of Spine Physicans (AASP) recently expanded membership with the addition of the Associate Member category to facilitate other physican members of the integrated spinecare team to join. This decision was made after an extensive poll of AASP members. The majority of members responded stating they thought the new membership category would be a beneficial step in field of cooperative spinecare. Associate members will include radiologists, orthopedic surgeons, pain management specialists, physiatrists and neurologists. Members and Associate members all have access to the same member benefits. The new member category will help integrate the various spine specialists and improve the outcome of spinecare.
