AASP MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN COURSE FOR SPINE SURGEONS
Members of the
American Academy of Spine Physicans (AASP) participated in a successful course for neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons titled: Complications of Spine Operations: Pitfalls, Avoidance and Management. George Dohrmann, MD, PhD, neurosurgeon at the University of Chicago and member of the AASP Academy Council served as the Course Director and Stephen Ondra, neurosurgeon at Northwestern University and also a Member of AASP Academy Council served as one of the Co-Directors along with Frank Phillips, orthopedic surgeon at Rush University in Chicago. The course was held at the Hyatt Regency OHare on September 23rd and 24th in Rosemont, Illinois and covered 18 topics presented by 16 well known speakers.
The course offered 20 hours of continuing medical education credits to its participants. The Directors of the course plan to offer it again next year. The Academy will announce the availability of the course when it is scheduled.
