For the Physician....

Welcome to the American Academy of Spine Physicians (AASP) home page for the physician. This page is made available to provide an organized list of resources that can be accessed by physicians, including non-members.  Members can access additional information by logging in with their unique user ID and pin number.

The AASP is dedicated to improving the delivery of spinecare by educating physicians of all disciplines.  The AASP strives to ensure that physicians all over the world have access to online resources which will help them expand their practice and improve the outcome of spinecare. The AASP has made arrangement for its members to be listed on various online National and Worldwide Directories to help increase their professional visibility to those who may need their care.

Physician members of the AASP have access to numerous practice development resources as well as patient educational resources. Members can also access continuing education opportunities through the AASP and achieve advanced credentialed status such as Diplomate with the American Academy of Spine Physicians (DAASP), or prestigious Fellow status with the American College of Spine Physicians (FACSP).

Physician members can obtain script pads which provide an invaluable method for educating their patients about their spine condition and available treatment options.  Each script provides a list of spinal conditions along with directions for the patient so that they can access the online Public Information Center (PIC).   The PIC is a multimedia database developed for providing up- to- date information for the patients and the public.

I am using the new educational brochure and the diagnosis check off list in my report of findings.
