The American Academy of Spine Physicians (AASP) provides affordable self-study and online educational opportunities for physicians and other healthcare professionals. The courses are provided in a variety of different formats which are:

The AASP is the only national organization providing healthcare professionals with continuing education (CE) credits which can be used to obtain:

For Physicians
Diplomate with the American Academy of Spine Physicians (DAASP) 
Fellow with the American College of Spine Physicians (FACSP)

For Non-Physicians
Diplomate with the American College of Spine Specialist (DACSS) 
Fellow with the American College of Spine Specialists (FACSS) 

Fellow status with the American College of Spine Physicians (FACSP) represents the highest level of academic distinction for physicians in cooperative spinecare. Fellow status with the American College of Spine Specialists (FACSS) represents the highest level of academic distinction for non-physicians in cooperative spinecare. Healthcare professionals who achieve credentialed status with the Academy will be listed as such on the National Directory of Spine Physicians and on the International Directory of Spine Specilialists. Credentialed members are granted the authority to acknowledge their status by using the appropriate letter designations on professional correspondence and materials.

The AASP is committed to helping physicians and other healthcare professionals achieve higher levels of education and credentialing in spinecare. The AASP also strives to enhance public recognition of spine specialists who have obtained additional training and education. Through its affiliation with the International Spine Association (ISA), the AASP is advancing public awareness about spinal disorders, available spinecare and the role of spine specialists.

Continuing education (CE) courses offered by the American Academy of Spine Physicians may not be eligible for license renewal in some states. The participating AASP member assumes full responsibility for checking with the authorities in their state to confirm whether continuing education credits acquired through the AASP can be applied towards license renewal requirements.
